Merry CHRISTmas!!

In response to some Christmastime angst I expressed years ago, Adrianne Truett reminded us that today is still Christmas!

New Year's Eve 2014

In my entry below, I mentioned how this blog has become majorly-delayed.  Part of it was indolence, but then things got tough for me, part-way through this year.

Anyway: I also mentioned in that entry below that New Year's Eve is pertinent to the topic of this blog.  At 11:00pm my time (about 22 minutes from now), which is midnight in New York, the ball drops!

We saw the ball in Times Square, during our September 2013 visit.  It is now about to drop!

To see it happen, turn on your TV!

I'll post some recaps here, later on.  (Or at least I hope to... My track record hasn't been too good for this, during the past decade. ;-)

Delay, delay... What can I say?

This blog was intended to be a recap of my 2013 trip to the Big Apple... but that has not worked out.  I still hope to use it for that purpose.

For this New Year's Eve entry though, I'm going to cross-post an entry from my main blog.  It's somewhat off-topic, except for the fact that New York City is big on New Year's - I will post an entry above this one, with recaps of the New Year's Celebration.

It will be posted below - once I've written it!

Merry CHRISTmas!

In looking back, I see I was "still behind on things" in prior years, as well.

I am making progress this time though, and expect to have things underway soon.  2013 was already a year of major progress, in several vital areas!!

I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas!

Yes, today. In response to some angst I expressed at my original blog, years ago (wow; It's now been 10 years?!)... the lovely Adrianne Truett informed me that Christmas actually lasts up through tonight!

So, Merry Christmas to you and yours!

(Due to the #snowpocalypse, we may need to extend Christmas for a few more days, as well!)

CHRISTmas 2013

Merry CHRISTmas, to you and yours.

Hope you've all had a great Day... God Bless!!

Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder."

A note on my... freeblogging!

Note: I think my entries at this site might be written better than that last paragraph just was... But maybe not: Writing for the Blogosphere - depending on the topic - can be more informal than other prose.

And also: I'm right now looping Kara Lindsay's excellent "Watch What Happens" solo, from a Broadway play I was glad to see on this trip.  The verse format there is an awesome 'stream of consciousness' narrative format... voiced by a talented and beautiful young lady!

I just bought it on iTunes tonight (via GoodShop, for the Trinity Broadcasting Network); I thought it would help me break through this productivity log jam, and get it done.

It has!

Also: I've used the above style (to a certain extent) some years after I first entered the Blogosphere - in 2002... My writing quality declined after some time, due to the blogging burnout that many were experiencing around then.

I was just wondering if there was a good article (or blog entry!) that I could link to, explaining this concept. I see there's even a Wikipedia entry!

September 9th: Eve of the Departure

The night before, I'd gotten necessary shopping done, at Target (and County Market). Not shopping for the trip mind you, but "extreme couponing" shopping!

That's an adventure I began last spring, and what my other new blog is about (is going to be about... I need to finally kickstart that one too, like I am this one).

After using match-ups that night (before expiration!), after my haircut earlier that day (from what I've heard, most barbers are closed on Mondays - I went to Sports Clips however, and it was even free!), I spent a bit of time at my apartment here (mom was doing the packing back at our family home; she was needing me to come, to pick the clothes to take!), before then heading home.
